ABOUT THE RIDE The Active Passion Group Ride is a moderate bike ride that is open to all riders able to maintain at least 18 mph for 35 miles. It encourages new riders and experienced riders alike. The ride starts at 7:00 a.m. Arrive early to allow time for pre-ride coffee and snacks.

GO THE DISTANCE

Distance options depend upon who shows up for each ride and will be decided to ensure safety in numbers. Options include a 20 mile, 35 mile, and 56-mile distance. There are no planned stops on the route however there are a number of convenient stores in case of emergencies. The route mirrors some of the local bike paths so that everyone can return safely in the event you need to leave the group for any reason.

SAFETY This ride follows all rules of the road. Safety is paramount. We stop for all repairable mechanicals. While there may be some sections where we hit the gas a bit we will always regroup and we always finish together for safety. Please be respectful to those around you. Call out all obstacles, do not overlap wheels, and generally be a good human. If you cannot follow the rules and or be a good human, this may not be the ride for you. If the group size gets large and the variation of the skills is high, we may split into up to 3 groups based on abilities. Please be self-sufficient. You should have (at minimum) water bottles, a flat repair kit, and knowledge of the route. We will try to maintain a double paceline at all times. We will occupy one lane and maintain a safe distance from one another. If you are new to group rides, please mention this to the ride leader before the ride departs.

* A HELMET IS REQUIRED ON YOUR HEAD AT ALL TIMES WHEN YOU ARE RIDING A BICYCLE *.

COVID CONCERNS

When off the bike please wear a mask. You must have a mask on to enter the store. Avoid touching anything unnecessarily. Wash your hands often. There are hand sanitizer stations inside the store. If you must high-five your ride companions make it a no-touch, air high-five. If you have a fever, feel unwell, or have been exposed to someone who is sick, please stay home.

BIKE PARKING There are multiple locations to park your bike. Please use designated bike racks to hold your bike safely. There is a lockable bike stand on the east side of the parking lot. There is one mobile rack on the west side of the parking lot and one in the back garden area. Please do not bring your bikes onto the upper- deck area.

We start and finish at Active Passion at 803 Usener St.
