Open to community groups and individuals keen to help their communities take action to reduce their carbon footprint.

“Active Hope is a practice. Like tai chi or gardening, it is something we do rather than have. It is a process we can apply to any situation, and it involves three key steps. First, we take a clear view of reality; second, we identify what we hope for in terms of the direction we’d like things to move in or the values we’d like to see expressed; and third, we take steps to move ourselves or our situation in that direction.” - Active Hope.

At Big Climate Leap we understand that it’s easy to feel powerless or overwhelmed when we think about the Climate Crisis, and that fear can lead to paralysis rather than action. But now more than ever we need to be resilient and active in addressing the problems we’re facing.

So we’d like to invite you to join us for a 6 week course in Active Hope starting on 16th September from 7 to 9pm, where we’ll discover what action we can take to help create the future we hope for - with a particular focus on the action we can take in response to the Climate Crisis.

We'll be following the online course based on the book Active Hope by Joanna Macy and Chris Johnstone, with the added benefit of group discussions, activities and support. The group will be facilitated by an experienced facilitator and coach however we will all be learning together and everyone’s input will be valued.

The course will be strictly limited to allow for the best experience for participants so booking is essential.
