Activating Change Open Talks #3: Lucy Hayhoe

Join us for an insightful evening at Tramshed as we welcome Lucy Hayhoe to share her expertise and experiences.

Rose Bruford's Theatre & Social Change BA (Hons) and Contemporary & Popular Performance (BA) Hons invite you to join us on Thursday 21 November for Activating Change: Open Talks - an evening of conversation with Artist Lucy Hayhoe.

Lucy Hayhoe is a live artist creating interactive installations. Her practice involves the creation of fictive environments which have a hold on the real, but through employing elements of play, agency and surprise, introduce a dynamic of uncertainty that casts a new light on the sites, spaces and structures with which she works. Works include: Home Sweet Home (UK, Asia, Europe, US) One in One out: London’s smallest gay bar (UK), New National Parks (UK, Germany), Mobile Border Unit (Switzerland) and The
Library Project (UK, Japan). Lucy is Director of LGBTQ+ arts charity Raze Collective, an artist-led organisation that supports and develops queer culture across the UK and part of the team at the London LGBTQ+ Community Centre.

Together we will consider the many ways change might be enacted in our communities and in wider society - creating a shared understanding of the goals we have and the strategies we might use to get there. These (free but ticketed) talks are for the students on our course as well as across different courses at Rose Bruford College and are also open to the wider public.

ACCESS:

- The space (Tramshed) is fully wheelchair accessible with accessible toilets nearby.

- The event will be fully relaxed - this means it will allow for noise and movement, leaving and re-entering the space when needed.
