About this Event
Actionable Confidence: Situational Awareness 101 introduces the fundamentals of situational awareness through the lens of sensory perception and intuition.
The presentation explains how each of the five senses—sight, hearing, smell, touch, and taste—plays a role in perceiving the environment, with an emphasis on consistent practice to sharpen these abilities. Kelly Sayre highlights intuition as a key element of personal safety, describing it as a trustworthy internal signal that often presents as persistent thoughts, feelings, or gut reactions. Drawing on the O.O.D.A. Loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act), she outlines how rapid decisions are often based on unconscious observations and mental rehearsals.
By promoting a calm state of mind and avoiding tunnel vision, Sayre urges individuals to recognize and trust intuitive warnings. The presentation closes by dispelling myths around intuition being “woo-woo” and encourages daily mental drills to enhance intuitive responses. The core message: intuition is real, and it can be trained.
Second Street Coffeehouse and The Diamond Arrow Group are excited to offer an evening that will teach you all those skills and more!
Join us on Mon., June 1st from 6-8pm at the Second Street Coffee House location to learn the different ways your intuition will try and communicate with you, how to read body language, how to recognize strange behaviors, and how to use all your senses to observe the environment around you.
We highly recommend mothers and daughters attending together if possible as this can be a starting point for opening up the conversation on personal safety.
Register now and join us for a different way to look at personal safety and self-defense!
