Houston’s historic neighborhoods are rich with culture and potential, but driving responsible, community-led growth requires actionable data, strategic funding, and a unified voice. Following the success of our February session focusing on Emancipation Avenue and the Columbia Tap Trail, the 3rd Ward Real Estate Council is ready to take the next step in our Connecting Corridors initiative.
Join us for the next session of our working series on housing and economic development solutions for Emancipation Ave and The Columbia Tap Trail. This month, we are diving deep into the infrastructure, funding mechanisms, and research partnerships needed to bring our shared vision to life. Our Goal: To transition from conversation to execution, building out the practical tools and securing the resources needed to guide responsible development across Houston's historic corridors.

• Corridor Outreach - Provide feedback on how we are gathering critical local insights and how you can support our two active surveys.
• Funding & Innovation: Explore creative capital solutions for community growth, focusing on predevelopment funding and the innovative use of shipping containers for commercial/residential spaces.
• Community Revitalization Toolkit Update: We are officially posting for a dedicated Researcher/Writer and GIS specialist to help compile our final framework.
• Lost Spaces Conference Update: Be the first to hear updates on this upcoming major event. We are currently seeking strategic sponsors, visionary speakers, and dynamic facilitators to lead the charge.
