About this Event

After 5 years of teaching Master's-level Acting in New York, Angie is hosting their first Portland Acting Workshop: Fundamentals through Play. It's a class open to all levels as it will be a return to the Fundamentals - Story Analysis, Impulse, and Physicality.

Be prepared to work physically as we energetically explore what it means to embody a character. Students will be asked to exercise their imagination, hone their connection to impulse in the physical body, and sharpen their script analysis skills. Techniques employed will include late-Stanislavki, Michael Chekhov, Alexander Technique, & Grotowski.

Angie's teaching background includes tenures at The New School for Drama (Acting MFA program), Columbia University (Acting MFA program) and Circle in the Square Theatre School. They studied under David Chambers (Yale School of Drama Head of Directing), Cotter Smith (Mindhunter, X-Men 2), Peter Jay Fernandez (The Irishman, "Luke Cage", The Adjustment Bureau, Co-head of Acting at Columbia University), and Dmitry Krymov (The Dmity Krymov Lab, Moscow, Russia).
