Acting Workshop – Step Into the Spotlight!

1 Day - Total 5 Hours of Workshop - 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

If you’ve ever been curious about acting or improving acting skills but didn’t know where to start, this 1-day, 5-hour workshop is the perfect place to begin. Designed for individuals with little to no acting experience, or if you carry experience, it offers a warm introduction to the world of acting while equipping you with the essential tools & performance skills.

The Activities:

Part 1:

Introductions & Opening Prayer – Setting the stage for a creative journey

Dynamic Warm-up & Voice Exercises – Loosen up, energize, and prepare your body and mind for performance

Interactive Discussion: “Why do you want to be an actor?”

Storytelling Techniques – Tell a simple story in a beautiful way for 2 to 4 minutes using "Transform words into powerful, emotive performance."

Improv Script – Develop an understanding of dialogue, tone, and character

Improvisation Performances (2–4 minutes) – Transform instant ideas into a great performance. Express yourself through comedy, horror, or emotional drama

Part 2:

Channel That Fear—Avoid showing fear; instead, use it as a tool

Voice, body language—Working on voice and body language

Creating Inner World - You create your own inner world to live in the character

A Scene Practice—Being involved in a scene & creating the environment needed with co-actors

Part 3:

Resonance in acting—real emotion needs space

Relationship with co-actors—Ask yourself a question. "How important is this person to me in a scene?"

Inner images in acting—Think before saying a line. Be ready with the inner images before the act starts

Rhythm in dialogues—Use of pauses, breath, stillness, silence, minimal movement, body language shifts, and changes in eye focus

Final Performance - Performing an intense movie scene, choosing the characters

Part 4:

Q&A—Ask questions, clear your doubts

Heads up about the projects & selection—A brief about the selection process for our ongoing & upcoming projects

Anything you want to discuss? - Bring your ideas and thoughts for shorts, plays and movie projects

Group photo & video byte—A group photo will be taken for the upload in our insta page "Naatyasuchitheatre" and video bytes of you sharing the workshop experience

This immersive session will not only give you practical acting tools but also the chance to connect with fellow creatives, share stories, and build a supportive network in a friendly environment.

VERY IMPORTANT: We are looking for actors for our upcoming theater projects, short movies/web series, and feature movie projects. The best performers in the workshop will get a chance to be part of our projects, which depend on scripts and characters.

*The workshop will be conducted in Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu & Tamil (that is, you can perform the scenes in any of these languages).

*This workshop is designed exclusively for Beginners to Experienced
