About this Event

Dates: This class runs Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, starting November 14th and running for 4 weeks (skipping one week for the Thanksgiving holiday).

Instructor: Ethan Wright

Ethan Wright is a goof who loves to be outside, read, eat quality cheese, and perform! He’s a Virginia native and landed in Richmond 3 years ago to finish up school. Their background in performance is rooted in acting training at both the summer residential Virginia Governor School Acting Program in addition to their time at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as part of their Drama Ensemble. You can see them perform every other Friday in the House Special with Silver Child and in the two-prov Grizzly Bear.

Enhance your improv with solid acting foundations in this four-week "Acting for Improvisers" workshop. Focused on building core acting skills, this course will help you create more grounded, authentic characters and bring greater emotional depth to your scenes. Through targeted exercises, you'll learn how to strengthen your physicality, voice, and emotional range, making your performances more dynamic and believable. Whether you're new to acting or looking to refine your craft, this workshop will equip you with essential tools to elevate your improv and connect more deeply with your audience.

COST: $125 (Early Bird $105)

The Coalition Theater is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Once classes begin, all sales are final. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that prevent you from attending or completing your registered class. While we do our best to accommodate such situations, refunds are awarded only as credit for a future class or shows and are subject to the discretion of The Coalition Theater management. Requests for refunds will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and any decisions regarding refunds will be made at the discretion of the theater.
