Interested in acrylics but don’t want to just paint landscapes or still lifes? In this playful, four-week course, veteran artist Camille Daunno will give you a taste of what else is possible with this uber-versatile medium.
Each week, you’ll explore a different technique. You’ll experiment with creating:
- A mixed media collage by combining acrylic paint, photo transfers, and stencils
- A flamboyant abstract painting by overlaying gold leaf/foil onto acrylics
- A beautiful batik by melting crayons and tiny bits of hard wax on top of acrylics
- An abstract painting of an animal or human by using monochromatic colors and various tools (brushes, palette knives, scrapers, and rollers)
This class is great for students of all levels. Beginners will get a feel for working with acrylic paints, and more experienced painters will have an opportunity to explore new ways to use this amazing medium.
No drawing or painting experience necessary!
