Acrylic Painting Workshop - Presented by UNCOVERE[D]
About this Event
Have you ever wanted to learn to paint but didn't know where to start? Or want to pick up a new skill or hobby? Then this workshop is for you!
UNCOVERE[D] is not your typical sip & paint! Think of it as a studio class, but in the relaxed, welcoming setting of your local pub. A space where you can get real, hands-on experience of acrylic painting without the pressure of enrolling in a formal class. Just show up, pick up a brush, and see where it takes you.
This is a hands-on painting workshop where you'll learn real technique - colour theory, how to mix and blend acrylics, brush handling, and how to build a finished painting on canvas from scratch. All guided by professional fine artist and art educator Dhanishtha Patel.
Throughout the session, Dhanishtha moves around every participant offering personal, 1-to-1 guidance. Whether you've never picked up a brush before or you're looking to build on some experience, you'll be supported every step of the way.
By the end of the session you'll leave with a finished canvas painting you created yourself, a set of new skills to keep building on, and the confidence to call yourself an artist.
What's included: All materials fully supplied, including your own 12x16 inch canvas to take home - just bring yourself!

What does the session look like in practice?
To start, you'll choose the painting you want to achieve. Dhanishtha will help you pick the right one for your level, but feel free to challenge yourself! Once everyone has their materials, Dhanishtha will come around and show you how to use acrylics, how to mix colours, and how to use your brushes. From there you'll start building up your painting on canvas, working through the composition layer by layer. Dhanishtha moves around the room throughout, stopping with each person individually to offer guidance and answer questions. Everyone is different — some people prefer more hands-on support while others like to find their own way, so Dhanishtha works according to your preference, making sure you always feel comfortable and supported. There's no rush, no pressure and no such thing as a mistake. Just a relaxed, creative afternoon where you work at your own pace and leave with something you've genuinely made yourself.
