You can purchase an art kit as an add-on to your course ticket, or bring your own art supplies. A list of materials will be emailed out to you so you can gather what you need for the course. If you find you need an art kit, you can always go back and purchase one from the add-on section in this listing.

Studio on the Farm is a cozy, creative space surrounded by forest and fields. It's a welcoming space for everyone. Jenny Pries is the artist who owns this place and she is passionate about teaching people how to draw and paint in an academic and classical way. She wants to share the methods that she learned while at Sheridan College many moons ago. Not everyone goes to art college for a whole variety of reasons - but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be access to classical, academic teaching. While she can't run an entire college course (she would if she could) She can teach the basics, and plant the seeds of skill and creativity in others.

Beyond that, art is healing, it is therapy, it is relaxing, and it is a positive challenge. If you've never painted before and wonder if you can do it, this is a great place to try it out, learn proper technique that will get you going along a path to find your own style in the arts! It's never too late to start painting and drawing!
