Raja is bringing Acro Comedy to RVA. AcroComedy Workshop June 15th, 10:30-12:30pm
Two of the funniest, wittiest, most hilarious teachers in the world were not available to teach this workshop, so we got you Raja, Eddie and Amy instead.
Come experience these three schmucks and whatever shenanigans they have prepared. It will blow your mind, or it might not, nobody knows.
Do this workshop and enjoy at least 10 minutes of it.
Now for real, this workshop is aimed at combining our passions of acroyoga and comedy; partnership and making others laugh. There's no greater happiness in the world!
Serious Description:
AcroComedy is a simple concept; it's acroyoga with a sense of humor. The concept revolves around finding funny and comical aspects to acro moves and transitions, as well as incorporating them in fun and funny games. We will be combining moves, poses, or transition and adding twists to them that will make people laugh and have a good time. It could range from the silly, to the extremely silly.
Acro Trip Workshop 1:00-4:00pm
Continue the practice in trios, less. comedy more acro.
Raja Sabra: Flying in from Beirut to share his joy of acro!
Simply put, if Acroyoga were a woman, Raja would marry her. He has fallen in love with the practice and feels more passionate about it than anything he's ever encountered.
Acroyoga has helped him immensely with his OCD, anxiety, and depression. He wants to use it as a tool to spread happiness and joy among people no matter the age or size. Raja sees acro as more related to the mind than to the body and physical strength.
His classes incorporate humor into the practice as he finds comfort in laughter and believes it's a way to get people closer, comfortable, and most importantly happy.
He also loves puns, and when you hear them, YOGAna love them..
