CALLING ALL MUSIC LOVERS! The next Acoustic Open Mic Night at Vernal Theatre: LIVE is on Saturday April 27, 2024! Our quarterly Acoustic Open Mic Night's are the place for music lovers.
To get in it's $3 if you're just watching & listening, or only $2 if you want to get up and perform. Doors & sign ups at 7:00pm, music starts at 7:30pm and we will go as long as we have performers on the list.
The Uintah Basin is full of so many talented people & there's nothing like experiencing live music in a cool atmosphere. We've been blessed to have so many amazing performers come out in the past & perform just about every kind of music you can imagine!
If you haven't performed at Open Mic before & would like to, then start getting a couple of songs ready!
If you've never been, sign ups to get on the list to perform will start when the doors open at 7pm. Performers & groups are allotted 2 songs or 8 minutes when they sign up on the list.
We will have some instruments available if you don't bring one (drum set, keyboard, guitars, bass, etc.), but it's all acoustic (well except the bass and keys). Feel free to perform covers or originals.
IF YOU CAN'T ACCOMPANY YOURSELF BUT WANT TO PERFORM: We have a lot of local musicians who'd be HAPPY to play with you so that you can sing! Just reach out here in the event or in the group Vernal Music Network and you will probably find someone pretty quick to help you out!
*NOTE* we will not use pre-recorded tracks of any kind. It kinda dampens the magic of the live music happening in the room.
Of course, if you'd like to just come hang out & listen to live music then that's awesome, too.
There’s nothing like live music. I love Open Mic Night because it’s a night that music gets to be the focus and at the forefront for once instead of just being in the background like it is for most of our daily lives. Everyone there is there because they love music and they cheer for each other, support each other, total strangers get up and play together, and new friendships are made with the bond of a mutual love for music. A number of people have had their first exposure to performing live at Open Mic & that's really special.
There’s something really special about experiencing live music that changes something inside of people to make them better than they were when they walked into the theatre & being able to share that with other musicians & an awesome audience is unforgettable.
That’s why Open Mic Night is the place for music lovers. See you there!
