Swingology is a DC-area band performing hot jazz, bossa nova, manouche, swing and traditional jazz. You will hear violin, guitars, and bass and may feel you’re at Parisian cafe or Prohibition era speakeasy. The band includes Judy Gomez (violin), David Lampp (guitar), Leigh Oben (bass), and Zack Friedman (guitar).Michelle Swan entered the Baltimore-Washington acoustic folk music scene in 1990, performing at local open-mics and coffeehouses. Self-reflective and acutely observant, Michelle deftly weaves lyric and note together to create intensely personal songs that tell of sentiments and circumstances nonetheless familiar to everyone. She loves to sing in intimate setting. She especially loves house concerts because it’s a wonderful opportunity to get to know her music community and interact closely with fans.
