Every fourth Wednesday Caffè Lena and The Saratoga Acoustic Blues Society team up for a great evening of acoustic blues performed by amateur and off-duty professional blues players from around the Capital District. Whether you come to listen or play, you’ll be treated to some great performances! All ages and playing levels are welcome.
Our host is keyboard player and WRPI radio host & NYS Blues Hall of Famer Sonny Speed, a founding member of SABS.
Our full menu will be available from 7 to 7:30, and at intermission
Our featured artist kicks off the night at 7:30. Open Mic follows at 8 PM. The much-anticipated jam rounds out the evening, with all players invited to join in. $5 admission for adults, FREE for students.
NOVEMBER FEATURE
Donna Marie Tritico will be joined by “Biscuits ‘n’ Gravy” (Andrew Wheeler guitar, and Michael LaPorte, blues harp) as the host band for Thanksgiving Eve at Caffe Lena. They will perform original tunes as well as songs made famous by Bessie Smith, Elmore James, and other blues greats.
