ACLU of Minnesota Lobby Day

Minnesota State Capitol | Saint Paul, MN

This has been an unprecedented legislative session, and we have a lot to celebrate. Bills the ACLU of Minnesota and our allies have worked to pass for years – even decades – already have passed the House and Senate!
In just the first few months of this session, your support of ACLU-MN legislative priorities has helped pass:
• The Protect Reproductive Options Act (PRO Act), which codifies our fundamental right to decide about reproductive health care, including abortion, contraception, and fertility treatment.
• Restore the Vote, which allows nearly 50,000 Minnesotans on felony probation or supervision to finally have a voice and a vote in their own futures.
• Driver’s Licenses for All, which will let thousands of Minnesotans get their licenses, regardless of immigration status. Undocumented people across the state will be able to safely drive their kids to school, go to work, and go to the doctor without the fear that comes from driving without a license.
Now we need your help to thank lawmakers for their hard work — and to spur them to even greater action to protect and expand our civil liberties.
Please join us for annual ACLU-MN Lobby Day. We will rally in the Rotunda and then break into small groups to meet our lawmakers in-person.
We’ll ask legislators to legalize marijuana possession for adults, change a law that can have unintended and drastic consequences for immigrants, repeal unjust and unneeded restrictions on abortion that are still on the books, and more.
