About this Event

Welcome to the Immigration and Future of Labour Event at the University of Alberta!

This joint conference with ACLMR aims to bring together researchers, practitioners, and

industry leaders to share insights and address key issues related to the recent changes

in the Canadian labour market. Topics on the impact of immigration on labor markets of

destination country/region and on productivity and economic growth are especially

welcomed. We also seek discussions of innovative policy solutions to better promote

skill utilization of immigrant workers’ and boost the positive effects of immigration for

Canada’s productivity performance.
