If you look at some of the most exciting, innovative & critically acclaimed electronic music that has come out of the beautiful North of England over the past years; from the psychedelic electronic rock of ‘The Moonlandingz’, to the folkloric radiophonic avant-garde Of ‘Eccentronic Research Council ft Maxine Peake’, to the party electro of International Teachers of Pop; at the forefront of all these projects (and many more) is a man in a hat and shades called Adrian Flanagan.
Adrian has spent two decades working on the fringes of alternative music as a songwriter, wordsmith, musician, producer, remixer, DJ and cultural agitator - working with artists as diverse as Maxine Peake, Yoko Ono, The Human League’s Philip Oakey, Fat White Family, Sean Lennon and many more.
Adrian returns with Acid Klaus to Salford on Saturday 19th October with special guests Hannah Platt, Yossari Baby and SIVERWINGKILLER.
Hannah Platt - Named ‘Voice of a generation’ (The Skinny) with ‘humour sharp enough to draw blood’ (The Guardian), Hannah Platt is ‘an undeniable rising star’ (Fest Mag) of the UK comedy scene. Her sell-out debut show ‘Defence Mechanism’ earned her multiple award nominations along with numerous 5 and 4 star reviews from the likes of The Scotsman, Chortle and DIVA Magazine.
She’s appeared on BBC Three, BBC Radio 4 and has supported the likes of Fern Brady, Lou Sanders and Ashley Gavin on their UK tours.
Yossari Baby - local shapeshifters Yossari Baby are the new wave evolution of Manchester punk outfit The Yossarians. Fronted by Tim Schiazza – with his trademark dense vocals and to-the-point songwriting - their 2022 debut album, Inferiority Complex, may sound worlds apart from what their flaming punk fans are used to, but don’t fret: The Yossarians’ guitar-heavy clangers and Prince Andrew digs (‘Where Does All The Sweat Go?’) remain staples of their live offering.
SILVERWINGKILLER - ‘International Industrial City Punk’. Manchester based, high energy electronic two piece. Fusing world music with analogue arpeggiators, aggressive bass, live breakbeats and vocals in English, Mandarin and Shanghainese. Inspired by human culture, science fiction and all the video games you’ve never heard of.
