ACDC Drug Checking Summit 2021
About this Event
The Alliance for Collaborative Drug Checking (ACDC) was established in 2019 as a hub for learning, developing, and improving drug user-facing, harm reduction- based drug checking. We are spectrometer technicians, syringe service providers, chemists, psychonauts, researchers, and people who use drugs from many different countries. We share experiences, lessons learned, training materials, and drug checking implementation strategy with the overarching goals of working toward safe supply and supporting bodily autonomy by increasing informed consumption of substances. ACDC has a group listserv, holds monthly calls and an annual summit.
Are you interested in starting drug checking? Do you have questions about spectrometers? Want to know what trends are from on-the-ground programs? Concerned about equitable access to drug checking? Are you hearing conflicting information about checking for fentanyl? Curious to know more about drug checking that's been going on for more than 20 years (DanceSafe, DrugsData & more)? You can join us for one day only or for the whole three days- we'll address all this & more!
ACDC is an all-volunteer, unaffiliated, and unfunded learning collaborative. The reason we are charging for Summit attendance is 1) to pay for translation for attendees who speak Spanish and 2) to offer the speakers an honorarium for presenting their expertise. However, if the cost will prevent you from joining, PLEASE let us know at [email protected]!
