Back for only their second reunion gig in over seven years, local indie failures Accrington Stanley follow up a gloriously joyful Music In The City Joiners slot with this full-band extravaganza. Allegedly beloved of John Peel, briefly big in Japan, bizarrely in the right places (but wearing the wrong trousers) for both Madchester & Britpop, the stanleys always managed to avoid the kind of mainstream success that their fevered imaginations promised them, but still managed to craft and release six albums of beautifully underrated indie-inflected music between 1988 and the early 2000s. For fans of The Smiths, REM & The Go-Betweens.
Support comes from 90s indie legends Snaffler & winsome folkies Halliwell
