This accredited ESOL course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to communicate effectively through reading, writing and/or speaking and listening in their everyday life, study, or the world of workLearning outcomes include:
Attend class every week, on time and text teacher if late giving a simple explanation. Attendance should be above 70%
Build on vocabulary spelling most common and personal words correctly (from the Dolce list). Most learners will use an English/English dictionary to find out the meaning of new words
Share ideas and opinions more than once in a group discussion using clear pronunciation, problem solve in pairs and compare answers
Most learners will use the VLE and WhatsApp/text on their phones/devices to access class info, learning and homework. Some learners will post comments and submit their homework
Improve use of grammar including subject verb agreement,
present, past simple & continuous tenses, identify a noun, verb and adjective
Know how to use compound sentences and start using correct capital letters, question marks, full stops correctly. Check writing for mistakes
This course will run weekly every Wednesday from 2nd October 2024 to 2nd July 2025
This course is open to Adults with English as a second language aged 19+ with few or no qualifications.
