Accra Art Week: Africa Film Society Screening

Join us as we celebrate our 4th Annual Accra Art Week!

In partnership with Africa Film Society, Ghana's premiere community of film creatives and producers, Accra Art Week with facilitate a discussion on the relevance of film in shaping Ghana's narrative.

A number of short films, curated for the evening will be shown after the discussion for guest entertainment and engagement. All guest are welcome with a registered ticket!

Bring blankets, lawn chairs to sit on! Food and drinks will be available for purchase.

About Art Week:

Since our inaugural “Door of Return” exhibit and showcase in 2019; which coincided with Ghana’s invitation to all people of African descent to return to celebrate the 400th Anniversary of slavery in Jamestown, we’ve began to ensure that the archiving our ancestral history was not just solely remembered but also relived and respected.

Having embodied the essence of “Sankofa” in recognizing our roots to give way to a new renaissance, we are now at a nexus that requires us to not just amplify our art but also the narratives that are shaping our new era.
