Accessible Birding: Lucky Peak State Park

This is an accessible and inclusive bird outing. All are welcome!

Join Golden Eagle Audubon for spring birding at Lucky Peak State Park: Sandy Point and Discovery Units at the base of Lucky Peak Dam. We will meet at Sandy Point Park and make our way to Discovery Park, birding along the way. Expect to see orioles, flycatchers, chickadees, kingbirds, cormorants, raptors, wrens, swallows and more!

We will be covering up to two miles at a relaxed pace on smooth paved and gravel surfaces. You are welcome to join us for all or part of the outing.

All levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed. Participants under 12 years old must be accompanied by a guardian and guardians must sign the waiver for participants under 18 years old.

Group size is limited to provide a quality experience for all. Please register online to reserve a spot before the event.

Meet near the restroom building at Sandy Point Park at 9:00 am.

State Park Pass or $7 Motor Vehicle Entry Fee required.
