This is a one-day basic breaching/forceable entry course designed for law enforcement responsible for breaching as part of their duties. Topics covered include, but not limited to, breaching tools, nomenclature, reading doors, target identification, exigent breaching tools, alternate breaching points, and alternate methods of breaching. Ballistic shotgun breaching and working with glass will be incorporated into the progress of the class. This course will briefly use lectures that are supported by exercises using simulated breaching structures. These exercises and drills will allow the students to perform, practice, and implement knowledge gained from the course.
