About this Event
Join Des Moines Community Impact & Relations and Easterseals Iowa to explore a variety of assistive technology (AT) devices that support individuals in the workplace. Assistive technology is any device that allows a person with a disability to perform a task they are unable to perform.
Attendees will:
- Learn about and explore hands-on a wide range of AT devices
- Hear an overview of the Assistive Technology and Rural Solutions programs at Easterseals
- Be inspired by success stories from individuals who utilize AT devices to enhance their daily lives
We will also uplift the partnership between Easterseals and the Des Moines Public Library.
The Easterseals Iowa Assistive Technology Program works with Iowans to learn about and access the assistive technology they need as part of their daily lives to learn, work, play, and participate in community life safely and independently. The Easterseals Iowa assistive technology team serves Iowans of all ages with all types of disabilities, including persons who are aging. More information about this program can be found here: https://iowaat.org/about/.
