This course is for anyone wanting to take their access knowledge to a higher level, and understand the practicalities of access improvements in line with the Equality Act 2010. This course is ideal for anyone considering NRAC accreditation, or looking to develop access auditing skills alongside a practical understanding of implementing access into building management practices.

Course outline
In this interactive training course we will explore:
- Accessibility awareness and models of disability.
- The Equality Act 2010, other relevant legislation and technical design standards.
- Key principles of inclusive design in the built environment, design guidance and access strategies.
- Appraisal and auditing methodologies.
- Audit reports and making recommendations.
Booking terms and conditions
Cancellations must be received in writing 14 days before the course date. All cancellations are subject to a 10 per cent administration fee. Where cancellations are received less than 14 days before the start of the course, fees will not be refunded. It is possible to transfer a booking to another person within an organisation or to another date. CAE will charge a 10 per cent transfer charge on each occasion for this service. CAE reserves the right to make amendments to the programme or cancel the course if necessary.
