Want to become more involved in advocating for causes and issues that matter to you? Want to understand how to follow along with the proceedings of the General Assembly?
Celebrate Sunshine Week with the RI Department of State by learning about the Open Government resources that are available to you.
During this presentation, you will hear from Rhode Island State Librarian Kate Wells and Rhode Island Department of State Director of Public Information Stacy DiCola about topics such as:
- How a bill becomes a law, and how to track bill progress
- How to research Rhode Island legislative history
- What it means to be a lobbyist versus a citizen advocate
- Lobbying laws and compliance
Space is limited and a light lunch will be served. Registration is required.
