Accents on a Quick Turnaround

Sometimes you don't have time for a deep-dive! In this workshop we'll look at some short-cuts and cheat codes to get you confident enough with an accent for an audition or self-tape. Expect practical and physical exercises to get your mouth around new sounds and keep your head in the zone. We'll cover some accent classics but feel free to bring an accent you'd like to work on!

On Voice is a London-based collective of voice teachers with a common aim - to bring inclusive voice, speech and accent work to our community.

We offer accessible, ethical, and research-led accent and speech sessions for actors and other professionals. We work with both native English speakers and speakers of English as an additional language. It’s important to us that we empower our clients to think about this training as an expansion of their toolkit for their profession rather than as a "correction" of their way of speaking.

All of our coaches hold a MA in Voice Studies: Teaching and Coaching from the renowned Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

This event is held in Spotlight's new spaces at 16 Garrick Street. The rooms are accessible from street level with a lift from the ground floor to the 3rd floor.
