ACC Central Chapter July Meeting

Come get out of the heat next Tuesday for our Central Chapter meeting. We've had some rain...let's hear some trip reports!
Quarterly ACC board meeting is coming up 8/1. If there is anything you want voiced or otherwise, let me know.
Ben Batten, who many of you know, will be our guest speaker. Ben is a Deputy Director of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. He’s been a long time friend to the ACC, as is the AGFC. Effective July 1, 2026, a WMA/Lake Conservation Permit is required for hikers, kayakers, campers, and others using specific WMA areas. The roll out of this caught a lot of people by surprise. There has been a splash of information and likely some misinformation regarding this. Ben has graciously agreed to speak to us about the impetus for the permit, who is affected by it, and to answer questions we may have.
