Sofia Valença is an internationally recognised classical dressage rider and clinician from Portugal known for her deep commitment to the art harmony and timeless tradition of horse training. As part of the celebrated Valença Equestrian Academy she carries forward the legacy of her father Mestre Luís Valença blending the rich heritage of Portuguese equitation with modern training techniques.

With over 30 years of experience Sofia has performed in prestigious equestrian shows such as Apassionata and the Royal Horse Gala across Europe and the USA. She also contributes substantially to teaching guiding riders of all levels through clinics workshops and tailored training programs that emphasise trust respect suppleness and balance.
