Allegany County 4-H Fall Volunteer Training: Youth/Adult Partnerships. Join us on November 12, 2025, from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Allegany County Fairgrounds to learn about creating a thriving environment where youth and adults can succeed together and strengthen these vital relationships. All volunteers are encouraged to attend. To register, email [email protected] by November 10.Effective partnerships between youth and adults foster growth. It’s vital to consider how adults can engage teens and how teens can embrace leadership roles in their communities. The 4-H Thriving Model highlights social competence, connection, personal responsibility, and contribution. Many volunteers struggle to cultivate these outcomes, especially with adolescents navigating self-discovery. Teens also face challenges in recognizing their potential.
