About this Event
The Mission of the American Business Women’s Association is to bring together business women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition
The Sunset Chapter meets on the 3rd Thursday of every month in Sarasota. Our meeting is a hybrid event; you may choose to attend in person or virtually via the Zoom meeting option. Visitors are always welcome and we encourage our members to invite guests to attend as well.
This month we will be meeting at the Women's Resource Center, 340 S. Tuttle Avenue in Sarasota.
DONATIONS TO THE CLOSET AT THE WOMEN'S RESOURCE CENTER ARE APPRECIATED
Currently, they are in need of:
New panties, Bras (like new), shoes & jewelry
Toiletries (unopened): Makeup, body wash, shampoo, conditioner & feminine hygiene products.
Please bring your donations to the meeting.
We will be enjoying a buffet dinner at 6pm. $25 includes dinner, dessert, coffee, tea and wine.
The program will begin at 7 pm. Please register so we can set up as needed.

Speaker: Melissa Carman
Melissa Carman is the Vice President of Engagement at Goodwill Manasota, where she has been a dedicated team member for nearly 17 years. Beginning her journey in the Support Department, Melissa has grown within the organization, earning a Bachelor's in Organizational Management and a Master's in Human Services through Goodwill’s Pursuit of Education program. In her current role, she leads the Marketing, Community Engagement, and Support departments, and works closely with the volunteer Board of Directors to further the mission of Goodwill Manasota.
Speaker: Margie Genter
Margie Genter is the Vice President of Mission at Goodwill Manasota, with an impressive 35-year tenure at the organization. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s in Rehabilitation Counseling, as well as a graduate of the Goodwill Industries International Executive Training Program. In her role, Margie leads Goodwill’s mission programs for both Team Members and the community, and plays a key role in fostering community collaborations that further the organization’s impact.
