How often have you shown up to a social event in Bangalore, hopeful and starry-eyed, only to find that it's devolved into yet another discussion about AI frameworks and career tracks?

The first rule of ABT Social Club is - you do not talk about Tech.

We're cultivating an intimate, exclusive community for conversations and connections beyond tech, where the discussions are free of repetitive tech topics, and people want to form deep connections with each other.

We're welcoming select people into the community. Join us at our events and let's see if we're a great fit for each other.

Note: This is NOT a networking or dating community. Such connections may form organically, but our goal is to help enable deep and long-lasting friendships.

About this event

This time, we're hosting a book salon. Come share a book you’re reading, a favorite that shaped you, or simply your curiosity about what others are reading, and optionally, enjoy a drink. Feel free to bring a book that you're really enjoying at the moment. This will be a casual, free-flowing conversation with light facilitation. After the themed conversation, we'll have dinner and turn into a general social scene.

This event will be hosted at the home of Dhruv, one of the community organisers.

(Note: This is a home and a safe space. There is a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe behavior.)

• When: Saturday 21st March, 6-9 PM
• Where: JP Nagar (address to be shared with approved attendees)
• Plus ones: You're welcome to bring your partner. Separate registrations are not required. Just mention it in the questionnaire.
• Price:
• • ₹800 per person.
  • ₹1600 if you are bringing your partner.
  • (This is not a commercial venture. All money will go towards food and drinks.)
• Group size: 8-10 people
• • Approval is not guaranteed and will be based on space and fit considerations.
• Agenda:
• • 6 - 6:30: Welcome
  • 6:30 - 7:30: Book discussion
  • 7:30 - 9: Dinner and general socialising
• Cancellations: Full refund up to 24 hours before the scheduled time.

If you like books, conversation, and meeting new people in an intimate setting, just come off.

About your host

Dhruv is a community organiser who hosted or co-hosted several mixers, art walks, and parties in 2025. Outside of hosting events, he's currently exploring theatre and dance. He hopes to transition full-time into non-profit next year.
