OUR FOCUS WILL BE ON HOW ABSTRACT PAINTING AND COLLAGE TECHNIQUES COME TOGETHER IN A HARMONIOUS WAY TO ALLOW FOR STORY TELLING WITHIN A PAINTERLY COMPOSITION. STUDENTS WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO BRING IN COLLAGE MATERIALS THAT CONTAIN PERSONAL SIGNIFICANCE OR APPEAL.

WHAT TO BRING- PLEASE COLLECT papers, newspapers, photographs, prints, and materials that can be cut up or torn during the collage portion of the lesson. Think of CONTENT that can be connected to help tell a story. Different types of paper and textures are also good.
