No prior art experience is necessary; this workshop is designed for beginners and beyond, eager to dive into the world of abstract art and emotions.
Workshop supplies provided. This is class is for adults only.
You will go home with one 8 x 10” painting, on watercolor paper, completed by yourself!
Workshop Flow:
We’ll kick off the workshop by acquainting you with the materials and guiding you through their usage. Starting with a lesson on color mixing, you'll gain insights into the magic of blending hues to evoke different emotions.
Next, we'll embark on a journey of self-expression, where you'll have the opportunity to choose colors, lines, and shapes that resonate with your emotions. Through guided exercises and discussions, we'll explore the intimate connection between feelings and abstract representations in painting.
Learn the art of layering and discover how certain colors can influence mood and perception. Ashley will provide insights into color analysis, empowering you to create compositions that not only visually stimulate but also resonate emotionally.
As the workshop draws to a close, you'll step back and admire your unique creations, each a testament to your personal journey of self-expression.
