Are you an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person who wants to drive change for children, young people and families in our community?The Hands Up Mallee Yarning Group is looking for new members.
Our Yarning Group is made up of local Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community members, including youth and Elders. It’s a safe space to come together once a month and drive change for children, young people, and families in our community.
We do this by:
- Centering Aboriginal voices at the heart of decision-making and change.
- Providing cultural guidance and leadership.
- Supporting community connection and cultural understanding.
Young people and parents with young children are encouraged to come along. There will be a yarn, a feed and you can find out what Hands Up Mallee is doing in this space and how you can contribute.
Children are welcome.
