Facilitated by a First Nations’ educator, this workshop explores the cultures, values and belief systems of Aboriginal people, and discusses the impacts of colonisation and how these still play out today.
🌱 This session is ideal for individuals starting out their Aboriginal cultural competency journey, to facilitate real and lasting change through changed attitudes and behaviours at both a professional and personal level. You will have the opportunity to have your questions answered within a culturally safe and inclusive space.
Topics include:
✓ Aboriginal history
✓ Key cultural protocols, values and belief systems
✓ The impact of colonisation and dispossession
✓ Barriers between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people today
✓ The journey of wellbeing.
Participants receive morning tea, a workshop booklet, a certificate of participation and a resources list to help continue their journey 👣
