A double-headliner for our August meetup - Lex and Morgan Wright!
Producer, DJ, and radio host Lex is up first, guiding us through the haze and into her club-thumping production approach in Ableton Live. Check out her recent releases on Gallery Recs, Digital Music Only and Lovejoy for a taster.
Our other red-liner is Morgan Wright - audio engineer, club producer and member of trip-hop/dream-pop band Acopia. Morg will be sharing his ways of wielding Live as an expressive musical instrument.
Also during our meetup will be an opportunity for community members to showcase and get feedback on their own music. If you'd like your music played, make sure to join us on Discord and post your track in the Track Feedback channel.

Ableton User Group Narrm/Melbourne acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land on which we gather, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung. We also acknowledge the neighbouring Kulin Nation groups, the Boonwurrung and Bunurong people, and pay our respects to elders, past and present.
Entry is free, and we welcome all attendees no matter what level of experience you have with Ableton Live. The user group is a chance to meet, connect, share knowledge, get feedback, and hang out with our community of Narrm-based music-makers.
We're excited about our partnership with Arts Centre Melbourne's ‘The Channel’, who generously offer us their space, which is part of the Hamer Hall complex on the Yarra River, just a couple of minutes walk from Flinders Street Station in the CBD.
About Lex:
After years of establishing her name as an undisputed champion of underground Australian dance music, Lex recently entered her original music era, dropping releases on Gallery Recs, Digital Music Only, Dürüm Records, Lovejoy and her own record label 2kisses. Not to mention DJ sets at festivals like Beyond the Valley and mixes for Triple J, FBi Radio, Threads Radio (London), Red Light Records (Amsterdam) and Scramble (South Korea).
About Morgan Wright:
Morgan’s expertise as an engineer is grounded in his years of experience in live contexts working as a record label owner, performer, and club music DJ/producer. He is a member of trip-hop/dream-pop band Acopia, and has collaborated with internationally renowned artists including Roza Terenzi, D. Tiffany, and Ciel. As an engineer his exacting precision and broad expertise has seen him working with noted local artists Big Wett, Willaris. K, and IN2STELLAR.
