About this Event

Abilities Tennis Association of NC (ATANC) is thrilled to partner with Wake Forest Parks and Recreation to provide free, friendly tennis clinics for those with intellectual disabilities ages 8 and up.

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! Volunteers play an important role in making these clinics possible for the athletes. We do require that you have some level of tennis knowledge. Those 18 and over must complete this form for a background check.

The clinics will be held on Saturdays, 4:00-5:00 pm, from September 14 - November 2. Abilities Tennis Coach David Marquina will lead the clinics.

Volunteers will help on the courts assisting with ball and racquet drills to help teach the Abilities athletes the highly adaptive game of tennis. Abilities athletes range in skill level with some learning how to hold and swing a racquet to hit red-dot starter balls and others playing full court with regular yellow balls. Here is ATANC's Volunteer Overview Video that helps explain the way clinics are run and how volunteers support the program.

Thank you again for your time and support. This time on the court will certainly be the highlight of your week! Learn more about the program at www.atanc.org.
