Abhangs, the devotional Marathi songs created in praise of Lord Vitthala are the highlight of the Bhakti tradition. They were songs originally sung by the Varkaris while on a pilgrimage to Pandharpur. Traditionally they were also used to pass social messages about life, culture, relationships and way of thinking and living life.
As the practice of the Wari has now trickled down in our modern society, this is our humble attempt to retain this beautiful art form, while bringing it to newer audiences who have never experienced this before.
