There is so much to do and see during Tournament Weekend. We recommend planning your day to maximise your time and experience!
Over the coming months we will release program details along with tips to have the best experience. Here’s a taste of what to expect.
At the heart of the Abbey Medieval Festival are the re-enactors whose commitment to authenticity, passion and skill in a range of all things medieval will open for you a whole new experience.
Over the weekend there will be jousting, fighting displays, oil wrestling, archery, medieval animals, demonstrations of craftsmanship and cooking, workshops and presentations.
Don’t miss the firing of the cannons and trebuchet or the siege at the castle! There will be jugglers and jesters, musicians and street performers.
There is nothing like imagining you are wandering down a busy medieval street as you stroll through the Medieval marketplace. With all its hustle and bustle, sights, smells and sounds you will be transported back to another time and place. And that is just a taste of what you will experience. Did we mention the food?…there will be a variety of flavours spanning many cultures and traditions upon which you can feast. Come hungry for it all!
Make a pilgrimage this year to Abbeystowe, the home of the Abbey Medieval Festival. It is a chance to step back in time as 1,000 years of history comes to life. It is authentic, inspirational and value for the entire family!
You can pre-purchase your souvenir Festival Program and then conveniently collect at the gates when you have your tickets scanned.
Pre-order a delicious medieval meal from the Stag Inn. Scroll down to add-ons!
