Abberton Wild Evening Out

Join us this Easter school holiday, for a unique opportunity to explore the reserve after everyone else has gone home. You will have the chance to catch bugs, watch the sunset, and have an adventure. We will even see if we can find any nocturnal creatures hiding around the reserve and in the ponds! There will also be an evening treat at our hot chocolate station to keep us fuelled on our adventure. Recommended for age 5+

FAQs

🎫Who needs a ticket?

Children and adults require a ticket to attend this event. Please note that this event is recommended for children aged 5+.

🔦Should I bring a torch? 

A torch is recommended for this event, as it will be dark before we finish, but a torch is not required.

🚻Will there be access to toilets? 

The toilets will be accessible at the beginning and end of the session. The building will be locked while we are out, so you will just need to speak to an event leader to use the toilet at any other time.

☕Will we be able to purchase food, drink, and items from the shop? 

Unfortunately, we will not be able to take any purchases in the visitor centre at this event.

🌍Where are you based? 

We are based in North Essex, local to Colchester.

🥜My Child Has Allergies. Will they be able to eat the snack? 

Allergen information is provided by you at the time of booking- we will make sure there is a suitable option for participants who have provided allergen details on their booking.

🥾What should we wear? 

Please dress for being outside - lots of layers. If it has been raining, the paths will be muddy and have lots of puddles, so wellies or boots are advised.

🐕‍🦺Can we bring a dog? 

Assistance dogs are welcome at our events. 

♿Will the event be accessible? 

Our trail follows one of our accessible gravel paths, so it is suitable for buggies and wheelchairs. There is also ramp access to the shelter
