You are invited to celebrate Aba Garbrah’s autobiography and solo exhibition!Aba Garbrah is a Jamaican and Ghanaian artist and writer based in Edmonton, Alberta. She is a member of the Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts, a nonprofit that supports artists with developmental and other disabilities.
In her first ever non-fiction book, Aba describes how she overcame racism, losing her parents, struggling to fit in and other obstacles early in life before finding success as an artist, a bowler, and a public speaker.
Be one of the first to read her book and support a local emerging author by joining us in the Stollery Gallery at the Nina on October 30th. Aba will be reading from her book and signing copies at the event.
The Nina’s gallery and washrooms are wheelchair accessible. Contact [email protected] for other accessibility questions or requests.
