Aaron Foster "Mostly Jokes" at The Secret Cellar
grief would be to quit his job at 50 and start telling jokes
About this Event
"Mostly Jokes" was first performed at the Hollywood Fringe Festival to reviews such as: "Subversively funny, laugh out loud gallows humor." "Some shows claim to be dark humor, but this was the absolute epitome of it." "You will fall in love with a man who would rather you not." "A laugh every 20 seconds." It’s mostly jokes… mostly.
"Mostly Jokes" : Aaron Foster never imagined the best way to manage his depression, anxiety and grief would be to quit his job at 50 and start telling jokes about it, but his solo stand-up show, “Mostly Jokes,” that one reviewer called “subversively hilarious,” has helped him, and others, find light in very dark places.
The show:
Growing up with a bipolar father and a schizophrenic older brother leftAaronFoster with a combination of survivor’s guilt, depression and anxiety that has invalidated his every accomplishment, destroyed his every relationship and invaded his every waking thought. A comedy!

About Aaron:
AaronFoster is the clinically depressed former host of an HGTV show you (probably) don’t remember, has acted in numerous films you’ve (hopefully) never seen, and is a standup comic you’ve (sadly) never heard of. That being said, his uniquely hilarious take on dark topics like his own mental health (or lack thereof) has given him a unique voice in the comedy world and he regularly performs in clubs and theaters around the us and canada.
Foster is the former host of HGTV’s FreeStyle and has performed stand up in clubs and theaters all over the country. A few of his main influences are, in alphabetical order in case any of them ever see this, Maria Bamford, Mike Birbiglia, Neal Brennan, Gary Gulman, Marc Maron and Taylor Tomlinson. Do with that information what you will.
