⭐️ DRESSAGE ENCOURAGEMENT DAY & CHRISTMAS PARTY! 🥳 ✨ All members are invited to our fun dressage encouragement day and Christmas Party! Come for the whole day or just for the parts you wish. Bookings and pre-payment for the both the Dressage Day and the Christmas Lunch are essential!

⭐️ THE DRESSAGE ENCOURAGEMENT DAY ⭐️
✨ Registrations for our fun Dressage Encouragement Day are now open and we’re excited! To register, just make your payment of $10 per test into our account and email us your chosen tests by 5pm on Wednesday December 10th.
Brenda is our event coordinator for this fun day, so just let her know which tests you’d like to do and if you’re entering into the fancy dress comp. We will then send out the draw to all participants on the Friday before the Christmas Rally. Each member can ride up to two tests. You can ride the same test twice, or ride two consecutive tests.
WHO WILL BE JUDGING US?
Our very own Angela Shepherd will be your lovely qualified dressage judge for the day, and we now have five pencilers, also from our club. If you’d like to be added to the list of pencilers, just email us to let Brenda know.
BUT WHICH TEST SHOULD I DO?
As always with our club, you have options and can choose what’s best for you and your horse. The Prep and Prelim test sheets will be sent out with the December Newsletter. You can ride more advanced tests of your own choice.
✨The Easiest Option
If you’ve never done a dressage test before in your life, then this is for you! The Prep 1 test is a super easy walk/trot test that doesn’t require you to do anything more than you ride regularly in our monthly flatwork classes. If this is your first crack at dressage, then we suggest riding the prep 1 test twice. Unless you’re up for more of a challenge …
✨Slightly Harder
Both prep tests are walk trot only, so a great choice for younger, greener horses and for our more nervous riders. They’re also perfect for our two and four legged golden oldies. While Prelim tests are a comfy challenge for the more established horse and rider, who are confident and balanced in the canter. You can even ride one prep and one prelim test.
✨Something More Challenging
If you’re one of our practicing dressage enthusiasts, then this is a perfect opportunity to try a more advanced test than you’ve attempted before. Maybe Novice or even Elementary may be a fun challenge. As always, you get to choose.
Simply let us know what test you’ll be riding when you register. There will be some fabulous prizes for the best fancy dress costumes and the dress code is to ‘come as you wish.” ✨
Riders in 1st to 4th place in all tests will win AARC ribbons. 🥇
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Even if you are not able to ride a dressage test, then you can still enter in the fancy dress comp to win a great prize. Otherwise, you can opt to wear traditional competition gear, or your comfy old jeans. Whatever you feel most confident in. No specific tack or gear is required, other than a riding helmet.
You’ll be very well looked after by our support crew. This super safe and fun event is to encourage everyone to step out of your comfort zone, ride confidently into the arena, and have some fun! ✨
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Entries are $10 per test. Please make your payment into our club account before registering for your tests. There is no fee for entering the fancy dress only.
There will be a pro photographer there on the day to capture all the fun. Fence sitters are always welcome free of charge.

✨🎄CHRISTMAS FEAST🎄✨
As a thank you to all our members, your All Star AARC Committee are putting on a delicious festive feast, complete with your favourite Christmas cuisine. There will be everything from ham & prawns, to salads & sides, to pavlovas & Christmas pudding! You don’t need to bring a thing.
For AARC Members, the cost of our festive feast is only $10 per head. (If you’d like to bring a plus one, then the cost for each additional non-member is $20 per head).
Bookings for lunch are essential for catering purposes. So please RSVP and make your lunch payment into our club account by Wednesday 10th December. 🥂
✨SECRET SANTA 🎅 🎁💫
In keeping with our regular AARC Christmas tradition, we ask everyone to bring a wrapt gift up to the value of $15 to go under the tree for our fun game! 🌲
⭐️ AARC CHRISTMAS RAFFLE ⭐️
We will also be drawing a fun Christmas raffle on the day! Tickets are $5 each or 3 for $10 and can be repurchased by emailing us and transferring payment into our account. You can also buy them on the day, right up until the time of the draw. ✨
