AAPI Arts & Culture Summit 2026

In September 2023, the Asian Community Fund (ACF) at the Boston Foundation hosted the region’s Inaugural AAPI Arts & Culture Summit in partnership with Mayor Wu and the City of Boston. The Summit had a dual purpose: to connect arts & culture leaders across the state, and to provide a platform for discussion and strategy to galvanize the Massachusetts’ AAPI cultural sector. See notes from the 2023 Inaugural Summit here, and the takeaways from the 2024 Summit here. In November 2024, the Summit returned with 150 attendees. Both Summits were a resounding success; attracting attendees from a diverse set of backgrounds who laid the foundation for uplifting AAPI voices and narrative change. 

Since the 2023 Summit, ACF formalized this network as the AAPI Arts & Culture Collaborative, led by a cross-sector 14-member Steering Committee with 85 members total driving Narrative Change, Asset Mapping, and Advocacy & Funding. In June 2025, the Collaborative published the first ever statewide research report on AAPI arts & culture.

At this year's summit, we will gather AAPI artists and leaders from across Massachusetts to share on the status of the sector, strategize about ways to advocate for increased resources and narrative change, and start developing a regional asset map and calendar capturing the breadth of the statewide AAPI arts and culture ecosystem.
