even beyond 'saying no' and setting boundaries -
What does RADICAL SELF-CARE look like for those who have always had to take care of others?

Join this healing circle for:

Who is this for?

This mental health workshop* is intended for first-gen/second-gen (adult) children of immigrants, especially the eldest daughters/alpha daughters, and/or the women in the Fil-Am/AANHPI community who have always been the caregivers, high achievers, problem solvers, etc. who are now looking to decolonize and unlearn inherited expectations. Open to those who identify as AANHPI women/womxn, Filipina/x, pinay/pinxy.

Workshop objectives:

  • Discuss experiences of being the eldest daughter/alpha daughter
  • Learn the difference between self-care and radical self-care
  • Apply a mind-body perspective of radical self-care (gentle movement & sound bath healing)

Your hosts:

Dr. Rona, PsyD (she/her/siya) is a mind-body psychologist and certified yoga practitioner based in California. Her work stems from feminist, decolonization, and embodiment practices. She is passionate about working with Filipinx and other AANHPI womxn, helping them dismantle imposter syndrome and perfectionism, and navigating being first/second generation children of immigrants. She also specializes in chronic pain and other chronic conditions, complex trauma, body image issues, and anxiety.

Anne Esperanzate is a Reiki Master, Sound Healer, Spiritual Life Coach, Child Life Specialist. Through her practice in energy healing and vibrational medicine, Anne holds space for underestimated communities (BIPOC, women, children, LGBTQIA+).

She holds space for those who are ready to rediscover their souls by releasing old limiting beliefs and stepping into their own light. To break generational trauma and cultural expectations by surrendering to what no longer serves them whilst honoring their ancestors. To shift the vibrational frequencies and elevate the consciousness. Above all, to realign your soul towards your Highest purpose by tapping into your own Divine light.
