About this Event
The Alice Austen House will be traveling across the Narrows for our first Brooklyn photowalk. A complimentary walk to February’s Industrial Photowalk, we’ll be exploring another waterfront neighborhood, Sunset Park, with AAH Ecologies artist Michael Dalton.
Home to a vibrant cultural community, a namesake park with elevated panoramic views and a sprawling industrial waterfront, there’s much to explore in this historic Brooklyn neighborhood. Photographer and Sunset Park resident Michael Dalton will be our guide, leading us on our meander to some of his favorite photo spots.
Walk will meet at 1pm at the entrance of Sunset Park at 6th Ave and 44th St. Polaroids are available to rent in advance through our registration page. Registration is highly recommended. There will be a post walk community gathering at at 3pm to mingle with new and old friends and share photos from the walk.
Accessibility Notice: Sunset Park does vary considerably in elevation. Participants should be comfortable with a varied route of hilly and flat terrain and expect to walk approximately 2 miles.
