Connect. Collaborate. Strengthen Your Theatre.
AACT’s annual Community Theatre Management Conference welcomes the people who help keep community theatres running, including full-time managers, part-time staff, office administrators, board members, and dedicated volunteers who do a little bit of everything.
CTMC is built around conversation, shared experience, and practical problem-solving. Participants learn from one another through large-group discussions, small-group breakouts, focused conversations, and plenty of idea sharing. A pre-conference questionnaire helps shape the topics around the needs and interests of those attending.
WHAT YOU’LL EXPERIENCE
• Fast-paced Lightning Round discussions
• In-depth topic explorations and breakout groups
• “Best of the Best” idea sharing
• Separate discussions for all-volunteer theatres and theatres with paid staff
• Honest conversations with people who understand the challenges of running a community theatre
DISCUSSION TOPICS MAY INCLUDE
• Sales and marketing
• Earned income strategies
• Fundraising and development
• Event planning
• Season and play selection
• Policies and procedures
• Volunteer recruitment and retention
• Education and outreach
• Box office operations
