About this Event
The AACE Boston Section is elated to welcome Jennifer Millender from the American Arbitration Association (AAA) who will present on Arbitration 101. This event requires registration. Reserve your spot as we expect this event to fill up fast!
Arbitration is a popular way to resolve conflicts without going to court. This presentation will offer a practical introduction, covering the essentials such as how cases begin, how arbitrators are chosen, and how the process differs from a trial. I’ll explain why people and businesses often choose arbitration, from privacy and speed to subject-matter expertise, while also addressing common myths and challenges.
Jennifer Millender is a Director of ADR Services at the American Arbitration Association, where she manages large, complex construction and real estate arbitrations and mediations across New England and the Mid-Atlantic. In her role, she leads the recruitment and development of neutrals, engages in client outreach, and oversees education and business development initiatives.
Since joining the Association in 2000, Jen has administered a wide range of construction and commercial cases, including matters involving specialized procedures. She brings more than two decades of experience in alternative dispute resolution, combining deep knowledge of case management with a commitment to advancing the field.
A graduate of Champlain College with a degree in Business Management and Marketing, Jen is originally from upstate New York but is an avid New England Patriots fan.
